Community standards

This is a place for thoughtful futures: predictions, unresolved questions, careful experiments, and ideas worth returning to. These standards describe what good participation looks like.

Be curious

Come to learn and to build. Ask about what is still unsettled, and treat other people's ideas as material for better thinking, not targets for dismissal.

Be specific

Say what you think and what you base it on. Add the context that lets someone else check, challenge, or extend your idea six months from now.

Be honest about uncertainty

Mark guesses as guesses. Update your view when the evidence changes. A community that is honest about what it does not know is more reliable than one that fakes certainty.

Disagree with ideas, not people

Challenge reasoning directly and respectfully. Keep the conversation about ideas; leave identity and motive out of it.

Leave a useful trace

Prefer substance over volume. Record what you tried, what you learned, and what you are still unsure about — so the conversation stays worth returning to.
